Conference Registration Specialist

As a Registration Specialist, you help scientists, researchers and professionals from around the world come together at international congresses. With your accuracy and service-oriented approach, you ensure a smooth registration process and a warm welcome for all participants.

As a Registration Specialist, you work within a project team responsible for organising international scientific congresses. You are the main point of contact for participants, from their initial registration through to the moment they arrive at the congress.

What will you do?

Setting up and managing online registration systems in consultation with clients
Processing registrations and responding to participant enquiries via email and telephone
Coordinating payments and the administrative processing of registrations
Supporting the registration process on-site and welcoming participants
Collaborating with project teams and contributing ideas to improve the registration process

You work on several congresses simultaneously and are part of multiple project teams. Congress by design organises multi-day international congresses in the Netherlands and abroad. For that reason, communicating in English is a regular part of your work. From time to time, you will travel with colleagues to support congresses on-site.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a communicative, service-oriented and detail-oriented colleague who is keen to commit to our team for the long term.

You are a good fit for our team if you:

Have at least MBO level 4 working and thinking level
Work in a structured and accurate way and have experience with administrative processes
Can communicate well in Dutch and English (other languages are a plus)
Are service-oriented, independent and a team player
Are comfortable working with different systems
Are available for at least 24 hours per week (working during school hours is possible, except during congress periods)
Preferably live in the region (max. approx. 30 minutes travel time to Alphen aan den Rijn)
